But another issue you didn’t talk about is macrophotography ….. What is the best way to do ? Imaging you see a dragonfly , a butterfly or whatever jumps and flies around …. and want to capture it . There’s not much time left to play around !. What I prefer : Set your aperture ( mostly aperture priority, try to approach the insect or bug carefully . Focus manually ( only !!!! ) and shoot . Move your camera slowly forward and backward supported by a one leg tripod , without touching focus and take 10-15 shots , as much as possible . Later on I select the best one . I do not know if there’s another technique ( yeah , focus bracketing but that’s far beyond my experience :p and I wouldn’t know how to do this with my Canon 550D ( and 100mm macrolens ) . Any tips for this ?
